Page from Nathan Richardson’s Music Album, Ms Am 2567 (Volume 1), Houghton Library, Harvard University: an album full of botanical souvenirs which was assembled incrementally between 1849 and 1859 by Richardson, a Bostonian musician, to document his European travels. Another of the pages preserves a leaf plucked from a tree said to have been planted by William Shakespeare.
